The centrepiece of V4HK campaign is a policy pledge, which we will ask parliamentary candidates to sign. The pledge will involve various policy issues that concern Hongkongers in the United Kingdom.

A policy questionnaire will accompany the pledge. In this section, candidates are invited to detail their stance on other policy issues of concern to Hongkongers. The policy issues in the questionnaire are ones on which there is a greater diversity of opinions within the Hong Kong diaspora, but they are nonetheless important.

We will encourage Hongkonger voters to support candidates who have signed the pledge. In cases where more than one candidate has signed the pledge, candidates’ responses to the policy questionnaire will help voters differentiate between candidates. The questionnaire will be particularly valuable in marginal constituencies with a substantial Hongkonger population, where fierce competition for Hongkonger voters is anticipated.
